Concrete Paths & Footpaths in Perth

Paths in Perth

From front entry paths to side access and around-the-house walkways, we lay concrete paths that are level, well-drained and finished to match your driveway and home.

A good path does more than get you from A to B. It ties your outdoor spaces together, keeps mud and sand out of the house, and removes trip hazards around the property.

We lay paths in the same range of finishes as our driveways, so your front path, side access and driveway can all read as one considered surface rather than a patchwork.

Concrete Paths vs Pavers

Pavers are a popular alternative to concrete paths, and they have real advantages in some situations, particularly where tree roots may be an issue or where you want the flexibility to relay sections. But for low-maintenance durability, concrete is often the better long-term choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about paths in Perth.

Yes. We lay paths in the same finishes as our driveways, including plain grey, exposed aggregate, coloured and honed, so everything coordinates across your property.

It depends on the use. A standard side or entry path is usually around 900mm to 1200mm wide, while feature and main entry paths are often wider. We will advise the right width for your space at the quote.

They need the correct fall so water runs off rather than pooling. We set that fall as part of laying the path, which keeps it safe and prevents staining and moss growth.

Yes. Narrow side accesses are one of the most common paths we lay. We work to the space available and set the fall to keep water away from the house and fence.

Standard residential paths use steel mesh for integrity. The mesh holds the path together if any cracking occurs and reduces the likelihood of sections lifting or separating. It is a small cost for a significantly better result.

We can lay concrete near trees, but it requires thought. We keep the pour well clear of the root zone where possible, and where that is not practical we use techniques to allow root movement or plan control joints where root lift is most likely. Pavers may be a better option around significant trees.
