Concrete Driveway Types and Finishes
Every concrete driveway starts as the same material. The finish is what decides how it looks, how it grips underfoot and how much you pay per square metre.

There are four finishes we pour regularly across Perth. Plain grey is the most affordable and hard wearing. Exposed aggregate is the most popular decorative option because the textured stone grips well in the wet and hides tyre marks. Coloured concrete carries the colour right through the slab rather than sitting on the surface. Honed concrete is ground back to a smooth architectural finish that suits contemporary homes.
The guides below explain what separates them, what each one costs to maintain, and which suits the way you actually use your driveway.
